Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Why do I need your Services?
A:  You don't...but... do you really want to buy a home without having a professional engineer tell you if it is safe and free from material defects?

Q: Why should I hire you?
A: Take a look at my qualifications.  I practice this type of work for a living.

Q: Do you commercial/industrial work?
A: Of course.  I conduct health and safety audits at industrial operations.  If you need an audit, face an NOV from a regulator, I can help.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: See my brochure for prices in the useful info section.  I may not be the cheapest...but you do get what you pay for.  You are mainly paying for a service.  I have spent my professional life in health and safety, over 20 years.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, The company maintains General Liability and Professional Liability.

Q: Are you certified?
A: Yes, I am certified by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors.  Also, certified by the National Environmental Health Association for Radon Test and Radon Mitigation.  I am also a state licensed Professional Engineer and Registered Environmental Manager

Q:What Warranty do you offer on the radon system?
A: One year warranty, parts and labor but the fan is guarenteed by Fantech, Inc. for five years.

Q:  What is the difference between 120 volt and low voltage Radon system?
A:  The only advantage in low voltage is cost.  The cost of an electrician is saved because in a low voltage system, an electrician is not needed to install the wiring.  Instead, the fan uses a transformer to reduce the voltage down to around 24-30 volts.  A simple 120V outlet is used to plug-in the transformer which usually goes inside the mech room and is about the size of a small loaf of bread (8” x 4” x 4”).
